About Us:

At Arriva TrainCare we provide high quality overhaul, maintenance and servicing of passenger rolling stock, locomotives, freight wagons and track plant. We operate throughout the UK from six strategic locations – Crewe, Bristol, Eastleigh, Cambridge, Tyne Yard and Scarborough.

The Role:

Working on a 4 on 4 off basis in our Cambridge depot, you will be responsible for carrying out maintenance activities of rail vehicles to laid down standards and procedures.

What You’ll Do:

Carry out work allocated by the Team Leader to the recognised standards

Operate rail vehicles, within depot operating limits, in accordance with relevant operating procedures

Ensure that safety procedures and documents are adhered to in accordance with VMI and local work instructions

Ensure work sheets are signed off on completion of work

Use of correct PPE with standards and local instructions

What You Bring:

Qualifications – minimum of a Level 3 qualification in Engineering

Experience – previous experience, involvement and understanding of rail vehicle maintenance activities is desirable

Knowledge – good understanding of depot operations with the ability to interpret engineering drawings.

Engineering – strong understanding of mechanical and electrical engineering
