Working Hours: Average of 35 hours per week, working 20.00 – 06.30 hrs, 4 on, 4 off shift roster

The Role: Working part of our night shift team you will carry out maintenance activities to laid down standards and procedures.
What You’ll Do:
- Carry out work as allocated by the Service Delivery Leader within set timescales and to the recognised standards
- Operate (drive) rail vehicles as required, within depot operating limits, and in accordance with all relevant operating procedures
- Ensure that safety procedures and documents are adhered to in accordance with VMI & local instruction
- Ensure that work sheets are signed off promptly and correctly on completion of work
- Attend technical, quality, safety and general briefings ensuring that the necessary action is taken on items raised
- Undertake Safety Critical Work Regulations assessments under the guidance of the Service Delivery Leader, taking remedial action where necessary
- Use of all PPE in accordance with standards and local instructions
- Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures
What You Bring:
- Qualifications: minimum level 3 qualification in Engineering
- Experience: previous experience, involvement and understanding of rail vehicle maintenance activities
- Knowledge: good understanding of depot operations with the ability to interpret engineering drawings both mechanical and electrical engineering
- Safety: strong understanding of applicable health, safety and environmental standards and requirements.
