Arriva Traincare have an exciting opportunity arise for a Heavy Maintenance Team Leader to join the team based in our Bristol depot. You’ll receive a competitive salary along with fantastic benefits including pension, healthcare cover, life cover, Arriva Travel Pass, Cycle to Work scheme and Arriva Village retailer discount scheme.

Contract: Permanent contract; Monday to Friday 07:00am to 15:30pm.

Duties:

  • Implementation and maintenance of safety systems
  • Production efficiency and quality output
  • Ensuring the compliance of teams working to VMI’s, VOI’s and ATC work instructions
  • Liaising with Project Engineers to ensure efficient work programmes are implemented
  • Work with the training department in the development of competence assessments for the team
  • Maintaining compliance with all company policies and procedures
  • Implementation of customer requirements

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of a Level 3 qualification in mechanical or electrical engineering – Rail Traction & Rolling Stock preferred
  • Understanding of rail vehicle maintenance
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings
  • Understanding of both mechanical and electrical engineering
  • People management training
