PSV Skilled Engineer – Shift

We are looking for experienced and ambitious Skilled Shift PSV Engineers to join Arriva, based at our Harlow depot.

As a PSV Engineer, your role would involve carrying out planned and preventative maintenance along with diagnostic fault finding and reactive repairs to a fleet of commercially operated buses & coaches, to the strict standards set by both Arriva, and the DVSA.

  • £25 per hour day shift / £26.5 per hour late shift
  • Overtime at time plus ½ for all additional hours worked over the working week.

The role will involve:

  • Servicing, maintenance and repairs to Arriva and DVSA standards.
  • Continuous improvement of vehicle reliability.
  • MOT preparation, planned preventative maintenance campaigns and quality checks.
  • Vehicle fault diagnosis and ensuring reliability and maintenance is kept to Arriva Standards (Higher than DVSA).
  • Attending roadside breakdowns.
  • Early/Day shift rota covers 5 out of 7 days Sunday to Saturday working with shift start times as early as 0400.
  • Late / Night Shift rota covers 5 days out of 7 Sunday to Saturday with shift times being 17:30-02:00.
  • All shifts include a 30 min unpaid and 15 min paid break.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications for PSV/HGV maintenance and repair – Minimum of NVQ level 3 or any equivalent international qualification (will require confirmation).
  • A full UK driving licence (6 points or less).
  • Ability to be passed fit for a PCV pre-employment medical.
