We are looking for a Talent Acquisition Specialist to support recruitment across our UK Trains businesses â Arriva Rail Services, Arriva TrainCare, ARTS, and Grand Central. This role is ideal for someone who is confident managing endâtoâend recruitment across a wide range of disciplines: from unskilled and skilled operational roles, to engineering, technical, professional services and other businessâcritical vacancies. If you enjoy building strong partnerships, delivering a great candidate experience and adapting your approach to different types of hiring needs, we would love to hear from you.
What Youâll Be Doing
- System & Process Governance
- Manage job requisition workflows in our ATS â Workday. Ensure accurate governance, compliance and realâtime status updates. Maintain strong data integrity across all recruitment activity.
- Vacancy Management
- Advertise roles across internal and external platforms, including LinkedIn Recruiter. Work closely with hiring managers to craft compelling, accurate job adverts tailored to each discipline.
- Candidate Screening & Management
- Review CVs and conduct initial screening where appropriate. Coordinate interviews and manage candidate communication throughout the process. Maintain compliant, accurate candidate records. Monitor application progress and support candidate system access when needed.
- Direct Sourcing & Talent Pipelining
- Use a range of sourcing tools, talent pools, job boards and networks. Build and nurture pipelines across diverse role types and future workforce requirements. Engage passive talent to support longâterm attraction and strategic hiring.
What Youâll Bring
- Proven experience recruiting across a range of role types (operational, technical, engineering, corporate, professional).
- Ability to adapt sourcing and engagement strategies based on the role discipline and its complexity.
- Experience with Workday or similar ATS platforms.
- Excellent organisational skills and strong attention to detail.
- Confident communicator with polished written and verbal communication.
- Ability to manage multiple vacancies at different stages with ease.
