Organisation: Arriva TrainCare (ATC)

Contract: Permanent

Working Hours: 4 on 4 off, 19:00 – 06:00

Salary: £42,810.53 per annum

About Us: At Arriva TrainCare we provide high quality overhaul, maintenance and servicing of passenger rolling stock, locomotives, freight wagons and track plant. We operate throughout the UK from six strategic locations – Crewe, Bristol, Eastleigh, Cambridge, Tyne Yard and Scarborough.

The Role: Working in our Crewe depot and reporting into the team leader you will be responsiblfor providing maintenance of rail vehicles to the laid down procedures.

What You’ll Do:

  • Carry out work as allocated by the Service Delivery Leader within set timescales and to the recognised standards
  • Operate (drive) rail vehicles as required, within depot operating limits, and in accordance with all relevant operating procedures
  • Ensure that safety procedures and documents are adhered to in accordance with VMI & local instruction
  • Ensure that work sheets are signed off promptly and correctly on completion of work
  • Ensure that the appropriate Quality and Environmental procedures and work instructions are adhered to
  • Attend technical, quality, safety and general briefings ensuring that the necessary action is taken on items raised

What You Bring:

  • Qualifications – minimum of a Level 3 qualification in Engineering
  • Experience – involvement and understanding of rail vehicle maintenance activities
  • Knowledge – good understanding of depot operations with the ability to interpret engineering drawings.
  • Engineering – strong understanding of mechanical and electrical engineering
