£14.00 per hour
Progress your bus driving career with Arriva at our Shrewsbury depot, where you will be at the heart of your community! Whether it is getting commuters to work, helping customers with popping to the shops or getting children to school – we provide an important service in connecting our customers to what matters to them.
As a Bus Driver, you will get to know the familiar faces on your routes, build relationships and even be the highlight of someone’s day.

Pay Rate: £14.00 per hour (Monday to Saturday)
- No Sunday working
Pay rates reviewed via frequent pay negotiations.

Hours Of Work
- 5 out of 6 day rotating shift patterns, (Monday to Saturday) planned up to 6-8 weeks in advance so you can plan around shifts.
- Mornings can start from 05:30, and evenings end at around 21:00.
- Our rotas are constructed with our driving team in mind. These are split into main types of work (local, interurban and Park & Ride), though there can be a mix of each type.
- Full and part-time options are available, and the full-time rotas consist of mixed 4 and 5-day weeks, with 1 in 4 weekends off – with every other of these consisting of 5 days (perfect for getting away).
- A mix of early finishes, later starts, short days and long days exist, and every effort is made to finish for a weekend on an early and start back on a later start to maximise rest periods.
- We cannot offer fixed early, afternoon or evenings separately.
- Overtime available at request / availability.
Requirements
- Must be over 18 years of age
- Hold your PCV licence (if you don\’t, please apply to the Trainee role and we can give you all the paid training you need)
- No more than 6 points on your licence
- Can pass a drug and alcohol test
- Great people and customer service skills
- Flexibility to work shifts
