Role Overview
As a PSV Engineer, you'll be responsible for performing planned and preventative maintenance, diagnosing faults, and conducting reactive repairs on our fleet of London buses. You'll work to the high standards set by both Arriva and the DVSA (Driver & Vehicle Standards Agency).
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct fixed periodic servicing, maintenance, inspections, and repairs to meet Arriva and DVSA standards.
- Improve vehicle reliability through continuous maintenance and proactive repairs.
- Prepare vehicles for MOT, execute planned preventative maintenance, and conduct quality checks.
- Diagnose vehicle faults and ensure maintenance aligns with Arriva’s high standards.
Candidate Requirements
- Qualifications in PSV/HGV maintenance and repair, with a minimum of NVQ Level 2 or an equivalent international qualification (proof required).
- Candidates without formal qualifications may be considered if they have at least 5 years of experience in PSV/HGV repair and maintenance.
- A full UK driving licence with 6 points or fewer.
- Ability to pass a PCV pre-employment medical.
