The Role: Working in our Crewe depot and reporting into the team leader you will be responsible for providing maintenance of rail vehicles to the laid down procedures.
What Youβll Do:
- Carry out work allocated by the Team Leader within set timescales
- Work as part of the exam team servicing customer vehicles to laid down procedures
- Carry out arising work and fault finding where necessary
- Operate rail vehicles as required within depot operating limits
- Ensure safety procedures and documents are adhered to in accordance with VMI & local instructions
- Ensure work sheets are signed off promptly and correctly on completion of work
What You Bring:
- Qualifications β minimum of a Level 3 qualification in Engineering
- Experience β understanding of rail vehicle maintenance with experience of Mark 3, Mark 4 Coaching stock and 15X DMUs is desirable
- Knowledge β good understanding of depot operations with the ability to interpret engineering drawings
- Engineering β strong understanding of mechanical and electrical engineering
