We now have an exciting opportunity for a motivated and reliable Cleaner / Fueller / Shunter to join our dedicated team at our Gillingham depot. This role is ideal for someone looking to build a long‑term career in the bus and transport industry. With full training and development provided, you’ll gain valuable hands‑on experience that could lead to future roles such as PCV Driver or Engineer.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Working on a rotating shift pattern (5 days over 7, including weekends), you’ll play a key role in ensuring our vehicles are clean, fuelled, and ready for service each day.
Your Responsibilities Will Include
- Driving vehicles through the bus wash and parking them safely
- Cleaning all vehicle types, including sweeping, mopping, litter removal, and deep cleans where required
- Re‑fuelling vehicles and topping up AdBlue
- Keeping the fuelling area clean, tidy, and free from hazards
- Carrying out depot cleaning tasks, including daily sweeping and mopping
- Following all company and statutory health & safety procedures
- Working as part of a supportive team to maintain high standards across the depot
What We’re Looking For
- Previous cleaning or vehicle handling experience is helpful, but full training is provided
- A strong team player with good communication skills
- Full UK manual driving license (6 points or fewer)
- Ability to pass a PCV pre‑employment medical
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills
