As a Bus Driver with Arriva, you will be at the heart of your community, helping commuters get to work, assisting with shopping trips, and getting children to school. You will build relationships with regular customers and contribute to a trusted community service.

Responsibilities
- Drive buses safely and responsibly, ensuring timely service and customer comfort.
- Provide excellent customer service and assist passengers as needed.
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness and basic operation checks as required.
- Engage with the community and support the company’s service goals on your routes.
- Collaborate with depot staff to ensure smooth daily operations.
Qualifications
- Experienced Drivers: Hold a valid PCV license.
- Trainees: No bus license needed—we provide all training.
- Have at least 6 months of driving experience with no more than 6 points on your licence.
- Pass a drugs/alcohol test, be flexible for shifts, and have strong customer service orientation.
Compensation & Hours
- Work Hours: Rotating shifts, 5 out of 7 days, scheduled in advance; 1 in 3 weekends off, with a long weekend every six weeks; overtime available on request.
- Perks: Ongoing CPC training and paid PCV training for Trainees; opportunities to progress into management or Driver Training; top drivers can earn a £50 voucher through the Mydrive app; free bus travel for you and household members.
Locations
Darlington / Durham / Redcar / Whitby & Stockton; Ashington / Blyth; and other Northeast depots as applicable.
