The Opportunity
Weâre looking for a Commercial Analyst Manager to lead and evolve our commercial analysis function. Youâll provide critical forecasting, insight and reporting that inform decisionâmaking across the business and directly influence revenue growth. Working closely with the Head of Commercial, Revenue Management, Pricing, Marketing and the Arriva UK Trains Growth team, youâll be at the heart of shaping Grand Centralâs commercial performance â now and in the future.
What Youâll Be Doing
- Lead Grand Centralâs commercial analysis, insight and trading reporting to provide clear visibility of performance and industry trends.
- Identify emerging customer behaviour trends and translate insight into actionable recommendations for Revenue Management and Marketing.
- Deliver accurate revenue and demand forecasts, maintaining key KPIs and acting as SME for the GC Revenue Forecasting Model.
- Develop and enhance data analysis and reporting capability using the Arriva BI platform.
- Oversee Grand Centralâs revenue claims process, ensuring the business maximises value from IAD and SPD claims.
- Support modelling and evaluation for business development initiatives â including timetable changes, new routes, service enhancements and engineering impact analysis.
- Lineâmanage the Revenue Analyst Placement Student and oversee the Group Booking function.
Essential Criteria
- Degreeâeducated (or equivalent) with strong numerical and written communication skills.
- Proven analytical background with experience using BI tools and multiple data sources.
- Confident communicator able to present clearly to senior stakeholders.
- Commercially minded with the ability to translate insight into tangible business improvements.
- A proactive, curious and challenging thinker â comfortable working at pace and juggling priorities.
- A positive, dynamic team player with a passion for understanding complex issues.
Desirable
- Experience with rail industry systems such as LENNON and MOIRA.
- Understanding of PDFH principles.
- Previous Open Access experience.
