As a PCV Bus Driver you will be responsible for safely operating a bus, adhering to timetables, ensuring passenger safety and providing excellent customer service.
Requirements
- Valid PCV licence – non‑negotiable. If you lack a licence, apply for our Trainee role.
- No more than 6 points on your licence.
- Pass a drug and alcohol test.
- Excellent customer service and people skills.
- Flexibility to work various shifts.
Pay
- From 1 April 2026, rates are:
- Weekdays: £15.54 per hour (requires 18 months experience in the last 5 years)
- Weekends: £15.84 per hour (requires 18 months experience in the last 5 years)
- Bank holidays: £40 bonus per shift.
- Prior to 1 April 2026, rates were:
- Weekdays – £13.47 per hour first 6 months, £15.54 thereafter.
- Weekends – £13.77 per hour first 6 months, £15.84 thereafter.
- Bank holidays – £40 bonus per shift.
Hours of Work
- 5 out of 7 rotating shift patterns, planned 6‑8 weeks in advance.
- Mornings starting from 05:00; evenings finishing around 01:30.
- Overtime available based on request/availability.
