An excellent and rewarding job opportunity has arisen for an experienced and ambitious individual to join our garage as a Engineering Technician/Engineer reporting directly to the Engineering Manager, whilst maintaining the fleet of PCV vehicles here at ourDarlington Depot (this will involve shift work including earlies, lates and weekends)
What does it involve?
- Shifts are 5 over 7 Sunday to Saturday (hours to be confirmed at interview)
- Competitive Salary with x1.5 time overtime
- Servicing and repairs to Arriva and DVSA standards.
- Continuous improvement of vehicle standards
- MOT preparation
- Vehicle fault diagnosis and ensuring reliability and maintenance is kept to Arriva Standards (Higher than DVSA)
Requirements:
- Knowledge of PSV/HGV maintenance with recognised qualifications (E.G level 3 NVQ)
- Can work safely and unsupervised to pre-set standards and guidelines
- Electrical knowledge is desirable but not necessary
- A PCV license is desirable but not necessary
- Inspection of vehicles for the scheduled maintenance (training can be provided) with IRTEC accreditation favourable
