We are looking for experienced and ambitiousPSV Electricianto join Arriva, based at ourDarlington.

As a PSV Electrician, your role would involve carrying out planned and preventative maintenance along with diagnostic fault finding and reactive repairs to a fleet of commercially operated buses, to the strict standards set by both Arriva, and the DVSA (Driver & Vehicle Standards Agency).

As a team, we are dedicated to working towards delivering a safe, reliable, clean and efficient service to meet the needs of our customers. Our Engineering Team is a core function of our business, and each engineer\’s contribution goes a long way in ensuring all our vehicles operate in safe and roadworthy condition.

The role will involve:

  • Servicing, maintenance and repairs to Arriva and DVSA standards
  • Continuous improvement of vehicle reliability
  • MOT preparation, planned preventative maintenance campaigns and quality checks
  • Auto (PSV) electrics and electric fault diagnosis and ensuring reliability and maintenance is kept to Arriva Standards

Requirements:

  • Qualifications for HGV/PSV maintenance and repair – Minimum of NVQ level 2 or any equivalent qualification (will require confirmation)
  • If you are not qualified, applications may be considered from candidates with experience in repair and maintenance of HGV/PSV
  • A full UK driving licence (6 points or less)
  • Ability to be passed fit for a pre-employment medical
