Trainee Bus Driver – £13.45 to £19.13 per hour
Start your bus driving career with Arriva at our Bangor depot. You’ll work with our experienced team and the Arriva Training School to obtain the necessary CPC licence so you can be behind the wheel in no time.
Pay Rates
- Trainee Drivers: £13.45 per hour (first 3 weeks)
- Post‑training (Trainees): Monday to Saturday: £13.45/hr (rising to £15.80 after 12 months)
- Sunday: £18.70 (rising to £22.00 after 12 months)
- Bank Holidays: £19.13/hr (rising to £22.50 after 12 months)

Shift Patterns
- 5 out of 7 rotating shift patterns planned 6–8 weeks in advance
- Mornings starting from 04:00, afternoons from 12:00 and evenings from 18:00 (rotational basis)
- Overtime available at request / availability
Requirements
- Over 18 years old with at least 12 months of driving experience
- Valid UK driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points
- Pass a drug and alcohol test
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
