Arran Action Care Ltd is seeking compassionate, reliable, and dedicated Home Care Assistants to provide high-quality, person-centered care and support to clients in their own homes.
Key Requirements
- A full UK driving licence is essential.
- Access to your own vehicle is preferred but not essential.
- Previous experience in a care setting is desirable but not mandatory, as appropriate training and support will be provided.
- A genuine commitment to promoting clients’ dignity, independence, wellbeing and choice.
Assist service users who require help getting up in the morning, as well as with washing, dressing, bathing, and toileting.
- Promote service users' mental and physical activities by engaging in conversation, taking them out, and participating in activities such as reading, writing, hobbies, and recreation as indicated in their care plans.
- Make and change beds, tidy rooms, perform light cleaning, and empty commodes.
- Launder service users' clothing.
- Prepare light meals, serve meals, assist service users who need help with eating, and wash dishes.
- Read and write reports; participate in staff and service user meetings, as well as training activities, as directed.
- Perform other duties as reasonably required.
- Encourage service users to maintain as much independence as possible.
