Join Our Team as a Multi-Drop Trunking Driver! Are you looking for a permanent, full-time role that offers variety, flexibility, and the chance to be part of a dynamic team? We have an exciting opportunity for you to become a key player in our logistics operations!
You will be required to cover holiday/sickness for both the driving role and the warehouse role. This will be a mixture of completing palletised multi-drop runs and night trunking to hubs. When in the warehouse, you will be completing the loading and unloading for the trailers for other drivers.
About the Role:
- Use a curtain side trailer for multi-drop trunking between our Inverness and Queenslie depots, ensuring smooth and timely deliveries.
- Reload at Queenslie and head back to Inverness, keeping our operations running seamlessly.
- Utilise a Counterbalance forklift to load and unload collection and delivery vehicles, showcasing your expertise.
- Unload night trunk vehicles for Pallet Networks and reload pallets onto delivery vehicles, contributing to our logistics success.
- Ensure goods are loaded and secured correctly to prevent shifting or damage.
- Perform comprehensive daily vehicle safety checks using your company phone to maintain top-notch vehicle safety and reliability.
- Stay in regular communication with the transport team to provide updates on your progress and ensure our customers' expectations are met.
- Participate in regular training sessions to stay ahead with the latest industry standards and best practices.
This is a permanent full-time position to cover holiday and sickness. Therefore, a flexible approach is required as the position will involve covering both day and night work.
Essential Skills and Qualifications
- Must hold a UK Class 1 CE Licence.
- Current DCPC Card and Digital Tachograph Driver Card.
- Current Counterbalance licence.
