About the Role
- As a Class 1 Tramper, you will deliver and collect bulk work to include scrap metals using a curtain sided or flatbed trailer, which will include a great deal of load security using ratchet straps.
- Loading/unloading of vehicle, ensuring load security.
- Use a handheld PDA to complete paperwork.
- Plan route on a day to day basis.
- Keep in regular contact with the transport team for updates on progress and managing our customers' expectations.
- Attend regular training sessions.
Essential Skills and Qualifications
- Must be able to have regular nights away from home.
- Must hold a UK Class 1 CE Licence.
- Current DCPC Card and Digital Tachograph Driver Card.
- ADR licence is preferred but not essential.
- Passionate about providing excellent customer service.
- Ability to work to deadlines.
- Confident, polite, and a team player.
- Fit, flexible, hardworking, and self-motivated.
