About the Role
- As a Class 1 Driver, you will:
- Use a curtain sider trailer to take on a diverse range of tasks, including palletised deliveries/trunks, ensuring smooth and timely deliveries.
- Ensure goods are loaded and secured correctly to prevent shifting or damage.
- Use straps, nets, and other securing devices as needed.
- Perform comprehensive daily vehicle safety checks using your company phone to maintain top-notch vehicle safety and reliability.
- Stay in regular communication with the transport team to provide updates on your progress and ensure our customers' expectations are met.
- Participate in regular training sessions to stay ahead with the latest industry standards and best practices.
Essential Skills and Qualifications
- Must hold a UK Class 1 CE Licence.
- Current DCPC Card and Digital Tachograph Driver Card.
- Fit, flexible, hardworking, and self-motivated.
Competitive Salary: £17.42ph PLUS for all hours worked between 21:00hrs & 04:00hrs, you will receive an additional £2.75 per hour.
Shift Hours: 12:30hrs start, on a 4on 4off rota basis.
Overtime: Paid at an hourly rate of £17.42ph
Training: DCPC training during your employment*, Monthly Courses for a variety of areas.
