The Power System Technician will provide a technical engineering service with the minimum of supervision in respect of mechanical and electrical servicing, repairs, maintenance, supervision and installation.
Reporting directly to the team manager, the Power Systems Technician will be part of a multi‐skilled team covering the Northeast England service area. You'll provide your individual contribution to this team, performing day‐to‐day operational duties, occasionally travelling outside the normal team area.

Responsibilities
- Respond to faults in a timely manner and complete corrective maintenance on a range of systems to meet our Customer Service Level Agreements.
- Carry out preventative maintenance in line with Arqiva standards, policies and procedures.
- Support upgrades and modifications to existing systems and networks following agreed instructions.
- Maintain accurate records, documentation and reporting of actions taken.
- Be available to work flexibly, both independently and as part of a team.
- Ensure that equipment operates to specified performance criteria and is maintained to agreed company standards.
- Engage with customers and build positive working relationships.
- Undertake contractor supervision duties as required.
- Actively participate in 24/7/365 call‐out response as per the scheduled rota.
- Always work safely, complying with current Health & Safety legislation and Arqiva Safety policy.
- Be willing to learn new transmission skills with an option to train to climb and progress to a climbing role.
- Role includes lone working in remote locations.
Qualifications & Skills
- A valid driving licence.
- Time‐served electrician (NVQ 3 & AM2).
- City & Guilds 2382 – 18th Edition Regulations.
- City & Guilds 2391 – Inspection and Test or 2394 & 2395 – Verification & inspection testing.
- Experience with fault finding and diagnosis.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical single line diagrams and schematics.
- Working knowledge of BS7671 Requirements for Electrical Installations.
- Experience working on three‐phase equipment and systems.
