Overview
The Head of Installations will be responsible for managing the end-to-end smart metering programme for our customers. Ensuring alignment of network build, meter forecasting, ordering and that meter installations are delivered in line with deployment plans.
We need someone with experience of smart metering technologies and IoT with a strong Programme/Project management background to succeed in this role.

Various locations are possible as a base with expected travel to Warrington once per week.

The role
- Lead and manage an internal team and a contract partner installations team to deliver customers’ smart meter installation plans.
- Develop strong relationships with key suppliers to enable effective management on a day-to-day basis, ensuring planning and delivery of meter deployment plans, and resolution of post install issues
- Be accountable for the co-ordination of forecasts and orders to meter and device manufactures in line with programme plan
- Develop and lead processes that will ensure the alignment of deployment plans between the customer, Arqiva teams (Sites) and key service providers
- Own feedback and reporting to the Supplier Management team to enable them to effectively manage partners through the formal SRM governance processes
- Commercial management of key service providers, ensuring robust processes exist and are operated to enable accurate partner payment

- Proven experience in a senior leadership role overseeing installation teams, with a focus on managing both internal teams and third-party contractors while maintaining a strong customer focus.
- Exceptional customer engagement skills with the ability to instil confidence in delivery
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve issues related to contractor and internal team performance, project delivery, and customer satisfaction
- Significant experience acting as a programme/project lead, ideally within the utilities sector
