ARQ works with growing businesses to provide clear, decision-ready financial insight. We are looking for a Finance Assistant to join us and play a key role in supporting high-quality finance delivery to our clients. This is a hands-on role with real responsibility. You will work closely with a Finance Manager and the Founders, helping ensure our numbers are accurate, timely, and form a solid foundation for commercial decision-making.
Tasks
- Support day-to-day finance delivery for a portfolio of clients
- Perform reconciliations and ensure data accuracy
- Prepare draft monthly management accounts
- Build and maintain supporting schedules for forecasts and cash flow
- Assist with variance analysis and commentary
- Flag issues, anomalies, or risks early and escalate appropriately
You will be expected to take ownership of your work, not just complete tasks.
Requirements
- Strong foundations in management accounts and reconciliations
- Good Excel skills and comfort working with Xero and related financial systems
- Logical, structured thinking with high attention to detail
- Willingness to learn, take feedback, and improve outputs quickly
- Comfortable working in a growing, imperfect environment
- Experience working with SMEs, startups, or multi-client environments is a plus, but not essential.
