Around Noon was established in 1989 on the Chambers family kitchen table, making sandwiches for local businesses in Newry, Northern Ireland. 36 years later, having expanded to four manufacturing sites including Slough, UK, we are still making sandwiches but we’ve grown our food to go range to include a full complement of day parts. We’ve breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks & bakery treats covered.

QC Operatives will work on a shift pattern to ensure full coverage of the day shift production schedule, including Sunday work.

Job duties:

  • Monitoring production processes and activities to ensure customer, legislative and Company expectations are being met.
  • Carrying out finished product checks on all product brands and recording findings on quality documentation including product weight checks and label checks.
  • Conducting internal Audits: Glass Hard Plastic Audits.
  • Checking the accuracy of measuring equipment - daily and weekly checks.
  • Daily Blade Checks.
  • Assisting with monthly GMP and fabrication audits.
  • Conducting Daily start up inspections.
  • Ensuring traceability information is captured.
  • Carry out daily routine checks (temperature monitoring).
  • Ensuring all non-conformances / corrective actions raised whilst carrying out duties are closed off and agreed by Production/ Quality/Technical Manager.
  • Prepare and assist with customer and BRC audits.

Schedule: Day shift

Experience/ Qualifications:

  • Relevant Experience in a food manufacturing role.
  • GCSE (or equivalent) in English, Maths and Science.
  • A degree in Food Science or a related subject desirable but not essential.
