Purpose:
To fulfil daily preparation tasks as allocated by the Prep Supervisor in a safe and efficient manner.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- To follow Prep supervisor instruction.
- Preparing mixes and ingredients according to SOP and supervisor’s instructions.
- Receiving transfer of ingredients from low care to high care, segregating, maintaining traceability and completing records to standard.
- Ingredients to be stored in chillers per allergen management system in place.
- Completing Batch code records as you make each mix, daily check records and transfer requirements.
- Ensuring correct mixes are issued to the production accordingly to the production plan.
- Minimize, report and record any waste of ingredients.
- Use trolley provided for any heavy ingredient’s movement.
- To follow guidelines and instructions from the Prep supervisor carefully.
To report any Non-Conformance with products/packaging to Prep supervisor/Assistant Prep Manager.
- Teamwork
- To cover colleagues for short time periods when they are on holiday in high care prep kitchen or in low care goods in if required.
- To maintain a good working atmosphere within the team.
- Communicate well with line management and other team members.
- Health & Safety, Food Safety and Hygiene
- To report any equipment damages or malfunction.
- Maintaining high levels of Health & Safety and Hygiene always.
- Follow a clean as you go policy.
- To wear all PPE provided in the correct manner, and to ensure that company policies including hand washing and personal food safety rules are followed.
- While handling knife please follow knife handling procedure/SOPs.
- Report any incident or near miss to Prep Supervisor/Assistant Prep Manager immediately.
- Where Heavy lifting is required, make sure team lifting is carried out.
- Only use a machine that you have received proper trained and signed the training log.
