The Arora Group Property division was set up in 2005 to provide a property and asset management service. It currently manages over £1.5 billion of property assets which includes operated hotels, a portfolio of externally leased hotels, offices and commercial spaces, as well as land holdings across London, major regional airports and the home counties.
This role is fully office based at Heathrow Airport Area (5 days per week). We do not provide Visa sponsorship for this role.
Key Responsibilities- Working with the head of tax on managing corporate tax, property tax and VAT.
- Ensuring timely preparation and submission of all tax obligations across the group including corporation tax, VAT and other tax obligations such as withholding tax returns and CIS.
- Preparing month-end and year-end tax provisions for inclusion in management and statutory accounts and ensuring tax is reconciled to the submitted returns.
- Preparing the relevant tax disclosures in the annual statutory accounts.
- Involvement in tax planning including corporation interest restriction allocations, capital allowance claims, group relief and loss allocations.
- Liaising with HMRC on all correspondence.
- Working closely with the central finance team and tax advisors on projects and transactions.
- Part-qualified/looking to qualify ACA or CTA with some tax compliance experience.
- Specific knowledge and experience in corporate tax and VAT.
- Demonstrate good accounting knowledge.
- Must be a self-starter, not afraid of working under pressure, and use their initiative to solve problems and suggest solutions, have attention to detail.
- Ideally, the candidate should be able to use Alphatax.
- Will consider part time (ideally 4 days).
