You will collaborate with other brilliant minds to solve some of the world’s hardest and most important problems. You will have ownership and autonomy from Day One. There is no corporate ladder at Arondite. From your first day, you will contribute to the implementation and deployment of Arondite’s products with customers. We hire the best people and give them extremely high levels of autonomy; the sky is the limit for an individual with the right ambition. If you are motivated by our mission and if you want to be part of a growing team of outstanding people, then we want to hear from you.

About the role

We are seeking a Deployed Network Engineer with RF communications experience to support the deployment and integration of our software products into complex UK government and defence customer environments. This role involves installing, configuring and debugging systems in multi‑domain secure and classified settings, ensuring robust connectivity and compliance with government cyber‑security standards and assurance. You will often work on customer sites, but will also provide input into the product development team to ensure the required features and tools are available.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Planning deployment of Arondite’s software into secure government and defence networks
  • Managing the accreditation and assurance of deployments in accordance with customer regulations
  • Integrating software with existing IP and RF infrastructures, both fixed and tactical
  • Configuring routing, VLANs, VPNs, QoS, and network segmentation for secure multi‑domain environments
  • Configuring and testing radios including UHF/VHF, microwave, LTE/5G, satellite, and MANET technologies
  • Supporting customer demonstrations, field testing, acceptance trials, and deployments
  • Documenting installations as needed to meet assurance requirements
  • Providing product feedback to aide in future deployments

You should have:

  • Degree‑level qualification in Communications Engineering or a related technical subject
  • 3+ years of hands‑on experience with IP networks, radios and other communication bearers
  • Familiarity with Linux‑based systems and command‑line configuration
  • Proficiency with analysis and debugging tools (e.g. Wireshark, spectrum analysers, iPerf, NetScout)
  • Awareness of NCSC guidance, ISO 27001, and Defence assurance processes
  • Experience with cross domain solutions
  • Practical experience installing networking equipment and related hardware
  • Willingness to travel within the UK and overseas

Nice to have:

This is not an additional list of requirements, but any experience in these areas is a bonus.

  • Certifications such as CCNP, CSA CCSK, CompTIA Network+ or Security+
  • Experience with Infrastructure as a Service tools like Ansible or Terraform
  • Working knowledge of secure government networks and associated information assurance requirements
  • Practical experience with RF systems (tactical radios, microwave links, LTE/5G, SATCOM, or MANET)

Right to Work

We require that all candidates have an existing Right to Work in the UK at the time of application.

Security clearance

We believe in working closely with defence customers. As a result, this role requires you to hold a clearance or be willing to undergo UK security vetting to Security Check (SC) or above. This normally requires having continuous residency in the UK for at least 5 years.

Office vs hybrid working

We are focused on building a positive, collaborative engineering‑driven culture. We therefore believe in making the office a friendly, comfortable and fun place to be, and we try to work from the office where possible. Of course, there are times when it makes sense for you to work from home and that’s OK. You may also need to travel to visit customers, depending on your role. But in general you should only apply to join Arondite if you’re excited to come into the office and work in person by default.

Application process

Generally, our interview process is comprised of the following stages:

  • CV submission with initial questions
  • Introductory Teams call (30-45 mins)
  • In‑person technical interview (1-2 hours)
  • Final interview with one of Arondite’s Founders (30 mins)
