About the role

We believe that all organisations can access the same IT, but not the same IT performance. We are looking for an enthusiastic Account Manager to join our team. Working within the desk based Corporate Account Management team, this role will suit a sales professional who enjoys managing and growing a portfolio of customer accounts through proactive engagement, relationship building, and solution-based selling. Operating 3 days a week from the office, this role sits in our Collaboration business unit, specialising in Unified communications, Contact Centre Solutions, Business Mobiles, Connectivity, Business Voice, IT Solutions, AV and Meeting Room Solutions. As a Desk Based Account Manager you will build relationships with your key accounts, whilst driving customer satisfaction, retention, and revenue growth by promoting ARO’s suite of collaboration solutions. You will also work with other teams on exploring new business opportunities, generating quotes and identifying renewals. With offices spread across the UK, this role is Liverpool based with the expectation of travel to see customers or other offices or suppliers as necessary. Please note that this is a Hybrid role with onsite requirement in the Liverpool office 3 days a week. You must be able to commute to the office and have your own transport.
What you’ll do
- Manage a number of SME customer accounts who have mobile, hosted telephony and connectivity products and services with ARO.
- Upsell into your client base; retention of current clients whilst building client base via customer referrals.
- Develop a thorough understanding of ARO products and service offerings to better upsell and cross-sell to clients.
- Build and strengthen client relationships to achieve long-term partnerships.
- Maintain accurate client records, keeping track of any contract updates and renewals.
Requirements
What we are looking for?
Essential:
- 1-2 years sales experience, either in new business or account management, preferably IT and Technology based
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent time-management and multitasking capabilities
- Excellent Sales & Negotiation skills. The ability to negotiate contract terms and pricing with confidence.
- Clear, confident Communicator
- Personable and articulate
- Proficiency with MS software (Excel, Outlook, Teams and Word).
Desirable:
- Experience in the Telecommunications sector
- Experience of Microsoft Dynamics Sales
