We are seeking a proactive and technically competent Field Based Account Manager with a strong background in IT solutions sales. The successful candidate will possess both the commercial capability to drive new business and the technical understanding required to confidently discuss and position IT, cloud, and communications solutions with customers.

This role is ideal for an individual who combines strong relationship-building and consultative sales skills with a solid understanding of modern IT infrastructure, cloud services, and unified communications technologies.

What You’ll Do

  • Develop and manage relationships with a portfolio of existing clients while actively identifying and securing new business opportunities.
  • Conduct face-to-face consultations with customers to understand their operational and technical requirements.
  • Provide tailored recommendations across a range of IT and communications solutions, including unified communications, cloud services, networking, and contact centre technologies.
  • Deliver compelling sales presentations and product demonstrations to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Achieve and exceed sales targets relating to revenue, new business acquisition, and account growth.
  • Collaborate closely with pre‑sales, technical, and service delivery teams to ensure successful implementation of solutions.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, opportunities, and client engagement through CRM systems.

What we need from you

Essential

  • Proven experience in B2B sales, preferably within IT services, cloud solutions, telecommunications, or managed services.
  • Demonstrable ability to generate new business and manage a full sales cycle, from prospecting to closing.
  • Solid understanding of core IT concepts, such as:
    • Cloud computing platforms
    • Unified communications
    • Networking and connectivity
    • Contact centre technologies
    • Managed IT services
  • Ability to confidently engage with IT managers, technical decision‑makers, and business leaders.
  • Strong consultative selling skills with the ability to translate technical solutions into clear business value.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to own transport.

Desirable

  • Experience selling Microsoft‑based cloud solutions or collaboration platforms.
  • Familiarity with CRM platforms and sales pipeline management.
  • Previous experience in a field‑based account management or territory sales role.
