As a Sales Development Representative (SDR), you will be at the forefront of our growth, engaging directly with businesses to understand their IT, Cyber and Telecoms infrastructure needs. Your role will be crucial in identifying opportunities, building relationships, and opening doors for ARO Technology to become a trusted long‑term advisor to our clients. This is a Liverpool‑based role with occasional travel to other offices for sales events, offering hands‑on exposure to the fast‑paced world of technology solutions. You will gain valuable experience in Microsoft solutions, Dynamics 365, AI technologies like CoPilot, Network Transformation, IT Infrastructure, and Cyber Security services—learning from a team that thrives on innovation and customer success. Hybrid role: This is a hybrid role with onsite requirement 3 days a week. You must be able to commute to the office and have your own transport.

What You Will Do

  • Arrange meetings, demos or attendance for events through calls, emails and LinkedIn.
  • Develop your client base through market research.
  • Achieve agreed KPI's.
  • Build market knowledge through professional qualifications.
  • Build strong relationships with internal colleagues and external customers.
  • Prospecting and Lead Generation: Identify and qualify potential customers through research, outbound calls, and other strategic outreach methods to generate new business opportunities.
  • Sales Outreach: Engage with key decision‑makers and influencers within target organisations to articulate the value of our Microsoft solutions and IT services.
  • Product Knowledge: Develop a deep understanding of our product offerings, including Modern Workplace, Dynamics 365, Network Transformation, and other IT solutions, to effectively communicate the benefits to potential clients.
  • Pipeline Management: Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date records of leads, contacts, and opportunities in the CRM system. Track and report on sales activities and progress.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the sales team to strategise on account planning and execution, ensuring a seamless transition of qualified leads.
  • Market Research: Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments to contribute valuable insights to the sales and marketing teams.

Requirements

Essential:

  • Strong communication skills both written and spoken.
  • The ability to build relationships with customers and colleagues.
  • Sales or customer facing experience would be ideal, but not essential.
  • A motivated self‑starter.
  • Be a quick learner, with an interest in becoming a market expert.
  • Resilience.
