About The Role
As an IT Technical Sales Specialist at ARO, you will be responsible for driving sales of our IT solutions and services by leveraging your technical expertise. You will work closely with clients to understand their needs, provide tailored solutions, and demonstrate the value of our offerings. This role is pivotal in bridging the gap between technical teams and clients, ensuring that our solutions meet customer requirements and exceed their expectations. This position requires excellent communication skills, technical knowledge, and a results-driven approach.
As a key role within our Business Unit, the Technical Sales Specialist is a vital player in supporting the account managers in selling IT solutions, upskilling the account managers and upselling into existing clients who take IT solutions. This is a hybrid role requiring you to work 3 days a week on-site or in front of clients supporting the account managers.
What You Will Be Doing
- Engage with clients to identify their IT needs and recommend suitable solutions
- Develop and present technical sales proposals, tailored to meet client-specific objectives
- Work collaboratively with the sales and technical teams to ensure seamless integration of products and services
- Conduct product demonstrations and presentations to showcase the technical capabilities and benefits of our solutions
- Stay updated on industry trends, competitor offerings, and emerging technologies to provide insights and recommendations to clients
- Manage the sales process from lead generation to closing deals, ensuring a positive experience for clients throughout
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients, serving as their main point of contact
- Attend industry events, trade shows, and conferences to promote our solutions and network with potential clients
- Assist in the preparation of sales reports and forecasts to track sales performance and market opportunities
Requirements
What are we looking for?
Essential:
- Proven experience in technical sales or IT sales, with a strong understanding of IT solutions and services
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience in building and maintaining relationships with clients at all levels
- Demonstrable track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth
- Ability to travel as needed for client meetings and industry events
- A relevant technical qualification or degree in IT or a related field
Desirable:
- Experience in a specific area of IT such as networking, security, cloud services, or enterprise software
- Familiarity with CRM software and sales tracking tools
- Certifications related to IT sales or specific technologies (e.g., Cisco, Microsoft, AWS)
