Arnold Plant Hire Ltd is a Waste & Recycling specialist hire business operating Nationwide, offering full Waste Spec Machines on short & long term flexible, fully maintained agreements.

We are seeking an organised and proactive Service Department Controller to join our busy plant hire operation. This is a key role responsible for coordinating service and maintenance activities, ensuring our fleet is maintained to the highest standards while minimising downtime.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a plant hire, construction, or heavy equipment environment
  • Strong organisational and scheduling skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Proficient in IT systems and service management software

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, schedule, and coordinate all service, maintenance, and repair work for plant equipment
  • Maintain accurate service records and documentation
  • Liaise with customers regarding service updates, breakdowns, and repairs
  • Monitor parts availability and coordinate with suppliers
  • Support the hire desk to ensure equipment availability meets demand
