Arnold House was founded in 1905 in St John’s Wood. It is an independent preparatory school located in London, NW8, for boys from 3 to 13, and a member of IAPS (Independent Association of Prep Schools). In our recent EQI ISI inspection it was reported that pupils' academic achievement and personal development are both excellent.
We are looking for a committed and enthusiastic individual who will relish the opportunity to become a General Subjects teacher to the boys in Key Stage 2, from Years 3-6. This is a critical time in the boys’ education, as they prepare for senior school transfer assessments. The boys are highly motivated and enthusiastic.
You will teach core subjects of English and Maths, although the ability to offer other subjects, including sport, would be an advantage in a busy school such as Arnold House. The successful candidate will be part of a friendly team who teach classes of no more than 20 boys. The staff body is warm and supportive, and collaborative working with teaching, planning and assessment is encouraged.
Specialist teachers take the pupils for subjects such as IT, Games and PE, French, Art, Music, Drama and PSHE.
