We‘re looking for Vehicle Assemblers to join our Arnold Clark Coachbuilders site in East Kilbride.

Hours:

Full Time: Monday – Thursday 8am – 5.30pm or 7am – 4.30pm, Friday 8am – 4.30pm or 7am – 3.30pm

About The Role:

In this role, you will assemble commercial vehicle parts from the likes of roofs and subframes. We’re looking for someone who thrives in a manufacturing environment, working from drawings and a bill of materials to construct bespoke parts for commercial vehicles.

Day-to-day duties:

  • Liaise with supervisors and management on daily production schedules
  • Work to deadlines to ensure efficient workflow
  • Quality‑control your own works and sign off at stages
  • Update internal systems with check sheets and build images
  • Daily meetings with parts and production manager

Essential Skills:

  • Experience in manufacturing/sub assembly
  • The ability to work as part of a team or own initiative
  • Have a problem‑solving and proactive mindset
  • Have a right‑first‑time attitude
  • The ability to mentor employees, including apprentices

Nice To Have But Not Essential:

  • IT familiarity is an advantage, but not essential
  • Previous training on internal work systems
