The Pre‑Delivery Inspection (PDI) Technician is responsible for ensuring all new vehicles are thoroughly inspected, tested, and prepared to the highest standards before being handed over to customers. This role focuses on quality, safety, accuracy, and efficiency, ensuring vehicles meet manufacturer specifications and dealership expectations.

Working with our talented technicians, you’ll grow your knowledge, work towards an industry‑recognised qualification and develop your career with the UK’s largest independently owned car retailer. Day‑to‑day duties:

  • Preparing new vehicles to high standards
  • Complete all required software updates, calibrations, and vehicle resets.
  • Ensure all work meets manufacturer standards and complies with safety regulations.
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment
  • Maintaining equipment and tools
  • Assist with the movement, parking, and organisation of vehicles within the dealership compound
  • Following the correct procedures and completing documentation

Essential skills:

  • A minimum of two years’ previous experience in a vehicle workshop environment
  • Minimum Level 2 Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
  • A strong understanding of vehicle mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to work alone and as part of a team in a competent, safe and efficient manner
  • Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach
  • Ability to follow written and spoken instructions and accurately complete paperwork
  • A full UK driving licence
