Overview
In this role you will service and repair hydraulic and pneumatic garage equipment across UK sites, ensuring uptime for customer operations. You will work both independently and within a service team, handling preventative maintenance, fault finding, and on-site installations. The position involves travel, including overnight stays, and contributes to a responsive maintenance culture that supports Arnold Clark’s branch network. This is a hands-on role for engineers who want to shape service quality and equipment reliability across a growing network.

Responsibilities
- Attend customer sites to service and repair hydraulic and pneumatic garage equipment (lifts, compressors, MOT equipment)
- Perform fault finding and breakdown repair; execute planned preventative maintenance
- Complete paperwork accurately and promptly
- Maintain van stock of parts and tools
- Collaborate with other engineers and service controllers
- Travel between UK sites, with overnight stays when required
Key requirements
- Previous field-based garage equipment maintenance experience
- High organization and attention to detail
- Strong communication skills
- Full UK driving licence
- Self-motivated and able to work unsupervised
