  • Job Summary

As an HGV Technician, you will carry out inspections and repairs in accordance with DVSA requirements, working independently and as part of a busy team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out periodic safety inspections of all HGVs to DVSA standards
  • Diagnose faults on hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical systems
  • Attend broken‑down or accident‑damaged vehicles and repair as required
  • Fit and remove a large range of ancillary equipment, accessories and livery
  • Complete the appropriate paperwork accurately
  • Update internal computer systems
  • Ensure all relevant legislation and health and safety procedures are adhered to
  • Maintain work areas in a safe and clean condition
  • Carry out other duties as instructed by supervisory staff

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Previous experience and an HGV Level 3 automotive qualification
  • Current Category C + E driving licence
  • Ability to carry out repairs in accordance with DVSA and the Group Operators licence
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision
  • Strong communication skills and ability to be a team player
  • High standards and a commitment to accuracy
  • Familiarity with EV technology (preferred; training will be provided)
