Arnett International is seeking a highly experienced Senior Airside Safety Manager to join a major airport development programme in the Middle East. This is a unique leadership opportunity to play a pivotal role in the safe and effective delivery of large-scale infrastructure developments within a complex operational environment. As part of a high-profile airport expansion project, you’ll serve as the primary interface between airside safety, operations, and engineering teams and ensuring compliance with international safety standards and regulations. In this role, you’ll be responsible for identifying and mitigating risks, verifying safety controls, and ensuring all changes are aligned with the airport's Safety Management System (SMS). You’ll also support stakeholder engagement, deliver performance insights, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the interface between airside safety, operations, and engineering teams to ensure safe implementation of airfield infrastructure projects.
- Oversee Management of Change processes in accordance with international (ICAO) and local regulatory standards.
- Conduct change impact assessments and risk reviews with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure alignment of project execution with regulatory compliance, SMS requirements, and safety performance targets.
- Review technical project packages and endorse submissions prior to regulatory approval.
- Monitor and evaluate implementation milestones, conducting regular safety inspections and audits.
- Use performance data to identify deviations and apply corrective actions and continuous improvements.
- Produce clear, detailed reports and maintain full documentation of all safety-related change activities.
Requirements:
- 10-15 years’ experience in airside safety and compliance, with extensive exposure to large airport infrastructure programmes.
- Strong background in Safety Management Systems (SMS), regulatory compliance, and Management of Change (MOC) processes.
- Deep knowledge of ICAO SARPs, risk management, and aviation safety best practices.
- Experience working in the Middle East region is highly desirable.
- Strong leadership, stakeholder engagement, and technical communication skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Aeronautical Engineering, Aviation Business, or related discipline.
