The Chef’s main responsibilities will include the following:

  • Oversee all kitchen staff and supervise our busy kitchen daily.
  • Liaise with the client regarding ideas for dishes to be added to the menu for their events, ensuring it comes within their budget.
  • Supervise all dish preparation, cooking, and presentation.
  • Promptly and aesthetically season, prepare, and plate foods.
  • Maintain a schedule for staff members, instructing and assigning tasks to all kitchen staff.
  • Purchase tools or ingredients as required, ensuring that all purchases come within the company’s budget.
  • Maintain and clean kitchen tools regularly.
  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations within the kitchen.
  • Interview, hire, and train kitchen staff in their designated areas.
