The Brake Press Operator is responsible for setting up and operating CNC Press Brakes to accurately bend, shape, and form metal components in accordance with engineering specifications and quality standards.
- Machine Operation: Set up and safely operate CNC Press Brake machines to manufacture metal components to required specifications.
- Technical Compliance: Interpret and work accurately directly from engineering drawings and technical schematics.
- Material Handling: Load and unload raw materials and finished components onto and off machinery safely.
- Quality Control: Perform checks to ensure high levels of precision, accuracy, and adherence to company quality standards.
- Maintenance & Housekeeping: Conduct routine machine maintenance and ensure a clean, organised, and safe workspace.
- Production Scheduling: Follow job schedules strictly to meet production deadlines.
- Teamwork: Work independently and collaborate effectively with the wider operations team.
Person Specification:
- Minimum 1 year of experience in CNC Press Brake setting and operation.
- Direct experience working with Amada machinery.
- Proven ability to read and accurately interpret engineering drawings.
