  • Keep soldiers well by caring for their dental health
  • Prepare equipment, sterilise instruments and work towards becoming a practice manager
  • Study for civilian-recognised qualifications including a diploma in Dental Nursing
  • Travel across the world both for work and Adventure Training

You do not need any qualifications to join; we will help you get them including paying for training and giving you time to study. If you are already a qualified Dental Nurse, we want to hear from you and will help you work towards becoming a Dental Practice Manager. Whatever your experience, you will work alongside your friends and find a team where you can belong.

To qualify, you must be between 17 years 9 months and 35 years 6 months of age and pass a basic fitness test. Set yourself up for life. During your initial trade training, you will earn £25,200, after which your salary will rise to £33,348. You will also receive 30 days annual leave every year (plus bank holidays and extra leave after operations), free medical and dental care, cheaper living costs, and free gym and sports facilities. Unless you are away on operations or training exercises, you will normally work 8.30 am to 5 pm, Monday to Friday.

You do not need to know how to do the job before you get here, because we will give you all the entry-level training you need. Plus, you will get to travel the world, taking part in the Army's adventurous training, and spending dedicated time playing the sports you love.
