Overview: Senior QA Engineer (IoT / Platform & Devices) – St Albans (Hybrid) – £65,000 + Bonus + Shares.
Method Resourcing are working with a fast-growing, international IoT technology business that build mission-critical platforms and connected device solutions used across sectors where reliability, security and uptime truly matter.
This role is a senior, hands-on QA engineering position where quality is embedded into engineering, DevOps and SRE, from design through to production. It is not a traditional 'testing' role, but a role that owns end-to-end quality across complex systems spanning cloud platforms, software services and physical hardware devices.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Owning end-to-end test strategy for one or more products
- Designing and delivering manual and automated test coverage across:
- Platform services
- Business systems
- User-facing tools
- Physical IoT devices / hardware
What They’re Looking For:
- Strong, hands-on experience as a Senior QA / QA Engineer
- Deep understanding of testing methodologies, both manual and automated
- Experience designing end-to-end test strategies, not just executing test cases
- Comfortable working with complex, distributed systems
- Experience testing hardware / devices is highly desirable (or a genuine interest in learning)
- Strong communicator who can collaborate across engineering, product and delivery
- A mindset focused on preventing defects and improving quality, not just finding bugs
- An interest in how QA fits within SRE / DevOps environments
