We are looking for a mid-level software engineer to join a small, stable product team working on an internal design and animation tool used widely across the business. This is a proper mid-level role. You will be expected to own pieces of work, think through problems yourself, and contribute beyond just picking up tickets.
You will be working mainly on the front end, building features in React using TypeScript. TypeScript is used everywhere, so you will need to be comfortable with it or able to pick it up quickly. There is also a backend element. You do not need to be a Node expert, but you do need some real exposure. If you have never touched backend code, this will not be the right role.
The product itself is visual and design-led. You will be working closely with designers and product, turning designs into interactive, animated functionality.
What They’re Looking For:- Around 3-4 years of commercial experience
- Solid React experience
- Strong hands-on experience with TypeScript
- Exposure to Node.js and backend fundamentals
- Someone who takes ownership rather than waiting to be told what to do
- Curious by nature, side projects, GitHub activity, experimenting outside work is a plus
- Figma experience
Team & Setup:
- Engineering team of around a dozen people
- Product-led environment with designers and product owners embedded
- Work is done in small squads that change depending on the project
- Low turnover and good team stability
Hybrid working is offered, but 3 days per week onsite is required. The product is used heavily internally and collaboration in person matters.
Salary: £50,000 - £60,000Interview Process:
- Intro call with the hiring manager
- Technical interview with live coding and technical discussion
- Final conversation focused on teamwork and how you work with product and others
