A leading UK consulting and advisory firm is seeking an experienced AI Transformation Leader to define and execute its AI agenda across a core Consulting service line.

Salary: Β£140,000 base + bonus

Location: London (Hybrid)

A senior, client-facing role with a clear mandate to reimagine how consulting services are designed, delivered, and scaled using generative and agentic AI. You will work closely with leadership, partners, and technology teams to embed AI into the full client lifecycle, from discovery through to delivery and ongoing value creation.

The opportunity suits someone who operates comfortably at board, partner, and C-suite level, and who can combine strategic vision with hands-on execution.

The firm is investing heavily in becoming a digital-first consulting practice and AI is central to that ambition. As AI Director of Consulting, you will shape how AI is used across consulting engagements while ensuring solutions are scalable, ethical, and commercially viable.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own and deliver the AI transformation strategy for the Consulting practice
  • Define a clear roadmap for embedding AI across the end-to-end client journey
  • Ensure alignment with wider technology, data, and digital initiatives across the firm
  • Partner with consulting leaders to redesign service delivery using AI
  • Identify high-impact use cases across advisory, assurance, and transformation engagements
  • Lead workshops and working sessions with senior stakeholders to co-create AI-enabled delivery models
  • Support partners and directors in positioning AI-enabled services with clients
  • Translate complex AI concepts into clear commercial and operational value
  • Engage directly with clients to shape, validate, and refine AI use cases
  • Represent the firm in senior client discussions, forums, and thought leadership initiatives
  • Identify opportunities where AI can materially improve internal efficiency, decision-making, and insight generation
  • Drive adoption of tools that enhance consultant productivity and client responsiveness
  • Lead change management to ensure AI solutions are adopted in practice, not just designed
  • Build AI capability and literacy across consulting teams through structured enablement and training
  • Foster a culture of experimentation, innovation, and responsible AI use
  • Act as a bridge between Consulting, Technology, and Data leadership
  • Ensure AI initiatives are well-governed, compliant, and aligned with firm standards
  • Leverage knowledge sharing across international teams where relevant
Skills & Experience
  • Proven leadership experience delivering AI or digital transformation in consulting or professional services
  • Strong understanding of Generative AI, intelligent agents, and enterprise AI platforms
  • Track record of operating in client-facing, senior advisory roles
  • Ability to influence and lead across partners, directors, and cross-functional teams
  • Experience moving from strategy through to execution and adoption
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and change leadership skills
