Our Tax Consultancy service line is run as a national team and supports our clients from all of our offices. We are currently recruiting a Corporate Tax Manager to join our Tax Consultancy Service Line based at the Newcastle office.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the detailed and technical review of complex corporate tax computations prepared by junior colleagues and reviewing their work.
- Provide training and mentoring for Tax Assistants, Tax Seniors and Tax Assistant Managers.
- Monitor work progress, recoveries and billing for the client portfolio.
- Assist in delivering proactive tax planning advice for clients.
- Liaise with clients and the wider AW teams to deliver corporate tax consultancy compliance and advisory services.
- Participate in the recruitment process for the team, including the graduate intake programme each year.
- Provide formal line management for Tax Seniors or Trainees.
The Candidate:
- CTA qualified with a minimum of 2 years experience in Corporate Tax Compliance / Advisory work.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Experience with Alphatax (desirable).
- Experience dealing with clients and ensuring outstanding customer service.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and confident client interaction.
- Excellent teamwork skills and able to build relationships across AW teams.
- Able to deliver tax technical training / development sessions to the team.
