We are recruiting for a Business Services Assistant to join our Dumfries office and widen the Business Services Service Line.
The Role
- Completing draft financial statements for sole traders, partnerships and companies ready for review by a Business Services Assistant Manager / Manager
- Completing draft business tax computations ready for review by a Business Services Assistant Manager / Manager
- Preparing VAT returns, bookkeeping assignments and management accounts for clients
- Ensuring all necessary client records are present before starting an assignment
- Ensuring that personal tax information is obtained from the client during the course of the accounts production and passed to our Tax team in a timely manner
- Drafting appropriate meeting agenda points and meeting packs for Business Services Assistant Managers / Managers
The Candidate
- A Full UK Driving Licence (desirable)
- Either AAT, ICAS, ACCA or ACA qualified (or be 'Qualified by Experience')
- Experience of working in an Accounting capacity at an Accountancy practice
- Comfortable working in a fast paced environment
- A dedicated team player, and willing to assist colleagues in the team where possible
- Able to prioritise workloads under strict deadlines and work well under pressure
- Able to use initiative and have great organisation / problem solving skills
- Keen to become part of a dynamic team
