The predicted salary is between 10 - 12 £ per hour.

We are now recruiting for a Bistro Service Assistant to join our Head Office in Carlisle. The hours of work are Monday to Tuesday, 09:00 - 17:00, with a 30 minutes unpaid lunchbreak inclusive on each of the 2 working days. This equates to 15 hours per week.

The main elements of this role will include:

  • Taking food and drink orders from colleagues and the general public
  • Serving meals, snacks and drinks as required whilst delivering outstanding customer service
  • Handling transactions from and using the AW Bistro App
  • Having good knowledge of the menu items, making recommendations where necessary, and answering customer queries confidently
  • Ensuring the Bistro is clean and tidy at all times
  • Restocking items within the Bistro as necessary throughout the day
  • Adhering to relevant food hygiene and health and safety regulations at all times
  • Performing additional duties as requested by the Head of Operations as and when required

In order to fulfil the responsibilities of the position, we would like candidates to have:

  • Exemplary communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Experience of delivering first-class customer service to the general public
  • Previous experience of working in the hospitality sector
  • A good understanding of food hygiene and health and safety regulations
  • Basic IT skills, and be confident when using technology (such as appliances, ordering apps, and tills)
  • Excellent organisation and prioritisation skills
  • A friendly manner when liaising with any colleague / visitor / client and ensuring they are made to feel comfortable when visiting Armstrong Watson premises
