We have a fantastic opportunity for a Receptionist to join the team at Acorn Veterinary Centre.
You’ll be joining a friendly and supportive team who are passionate about providing excellent care to our patients and making sure every client feels welcomed, valued and well looked after.
We are looking for a self-motivated, organised and friendly individual who enjoys working with people and would love to become part of our team.
Previous veterinary reception experience would be desirable but is not essential. Most importantly, we are looking for someone with a positive attitude, excellent communication skills and a genuine interest in providing outstanding client care.
The Role
- Hours: 24.4 hours per week
- Monday: 10:00am – 6:00pm
- Thursday: 11:30am – 7:30pm
- Friday: 10:00am – 6:00pm
- Weekend rota: 1 in 4 Saturdays, with weekend hours incorporated into the contracted hours
Salary dependent on skills and experience.
This role will include:
- Providing a professional, friendly and welcoming reception service to our clients
- Greeting clients and ensuring they receive a warm and positive experience from the moment they arrive
- Answering telephone calls and dealing with client enquiries in a helpful and professional manner
- Booking appointments and maintaining accurate client and patient records
- Processing payments and carrying out general administrative and clerical duties
- Supporting the veterinary team with the smooth running of the practice
- Working as part of a team to provide excellent patient and client care
- Maintaining a clean, organised and welcoming reception area
What we’re looking for
We’re looking for someone who is:
- Friendly, approachable and confident when dealing with clients
- Well organised with excellent attention to detail
- A good communicator and team player
- Calm and professional, even when the practice is busy
- Comfortable working independently and taking initiative
- Passionate about providing a high standard of customer service
- Ideally experienced within a veterinary environment, although previous veterinary experience is not essential
