We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Hospital Manager to lead multiple veterinary sites in Cheshire. Reporting to the Business Development Director, you’ll drive operational excellence, team performance, and exceptional patient and client care. Working closely with Clinical Directors and Practice Managers, you’ll play a key role in delivering strategy, improving performance, and supporting business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Leadership & People
- Support Practice Managers, fostering a high‑performing, engaged team culture
- Support Clinical Directors in effectively managing the Out of Hours Service and fostering relationships with internal and external branch practices
- Oversee recruitment, retention, development, and performance management
- Promote strong communication across all sites
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and regulatory standards
- Operations & Performance
- Oversee daily operations across sites to ensure efficiency and quality care
- Support financial performance, budgeting, and strategic planning
- Identify and deliver business improvement opportunities
- Manage client escalations and maintain high service standards
- Collaborate with central teams (HR, Marketing) and wider networks

- Proven leadership experience in multi‑site, healthcare, or veterinary environments
- Commercially aware with strong operational management skills
- Confident handling complex and sensitive issues
- Excellent communicator with a proactive, solutions‑focused approach
