Beech House Veterinary Hospital, Warrington, Cheshire. An exciting opportunity to work a mix of first opinion day and ECC OOH shifts in a busy hospital practice.
Our practice is recently refurbished and has an established OOH service that currently looks after the OOH for eight outreach practices. Facilities include a clean corridor with 3 operating theatres (with DR X-ray in orthopaedic theatre), ultrasound suite, DR X-ray, dental room and endoscopes. The practice and cattery are working to ISFM Gold standard and, in October 2025, we were awarded RCVS PSS Hospital status.
This role involves working 10-day shifts (9 hours each) across a 6-week period to fit around the OOH part-time rota. It is a rolling 6-week pattern with some scope for flex of the day shifts for the right candidate. The night shift pattern is 7 nights in a rolling 6-week block, alternating 3 nights Friday–Sunday and 4 nights Monday–Thursday (fixed).
The proposed day shifts would include a combination of two blocks of 5 consecutive days (Monday–Wednesday, with a 5-day block including 1 weekend). The combined role equates to circa 15 hours/week on days and 14.05 hours/week for nights. Total weekly hours circa 29.05. The OOH shifts are from 7:30pm–8:30am the following morning, and day shifts are 9 hours between 8am and 8pm on a rota.
Salary - up to £65k FTE depending on experience.
